Please enjoy this skit to help you think about this year’s theme:

Speaker A: Man, this world is messed up.

Speaker B: Yeah, and what can we even do about it?

Speaker C: I Can Change the World By….

(Long pause)

A: um, by what?

C: Oh I was just reading the theme for this year’s Reflections arts contest, I Can Change the World By… (short pause) See they want you to choreograph a dance or write a song that tells how YOU can change the world.

B: But I can’t make music.

A: Would they take a short movie? That’s art, right? And you rule ticktok.

C: Yeah, or it can be a photograph, a short story or poem or a piece of 2D or 3D art. Stop by the front desk and they have the guidelines and application forms.

B: okay, but what’s in it for me?

C: There will be gift cards for the top two winners, and prizes and food for all the participants.

A: Cool. Can I do more than one entry?

C: Absolutely, just make sure you CHANGE THE WORLD BY Fri October 22nd cuz that’s the day your fabulous art is due to the front office. See what I did there? Change the world by Friday. Hahaha! I’m too funny!
